Sci-Tech Fair 2019 comes to an end, Exhibitors encouraged to develop solutions to problems facing the country.

The two-day Sci-Tech Fair, organised by Primetime as part of the activities of the 2019 edition of the National Science & Maths Quiz and Science Festival, came to an end on Saturday, 15 June 2019, with award presentations to the students for the display of innovative projects.

At the Closing ceremony of the event, Mrs Nana Akua Ankomah-Asare, MD of Primetime, congratulated and appreciated the ingenuity of the projects by the exhibitors, and encouraged them to create more solutions to problems in their communities and the nation as a whole.

Mr Richard Prempeh, Head of Marketing for GOIL, stated in his address that GOIL was impressed with the projects of all participating schools, and went on to urge the students to be more inventive.

All participants of this year’s edition of the Sci-Tech Fair received certificates of participation, and cash prizes were given out to students with outstanding projects, some of which included a bed bug solution from Mamfe Methodist Girls’ SHS, the ExeatLog app from Presbyterian Boys’ SHS, Legon, and the RescueBot from Ghana Secondary Technical School (GSTS).

The Fair, has been marked as a platform for Tech Start-ups to exhibit their products and services, and an opportunity for students at the various levels of education to be exposed to the reality of the world of Science and Technology, as well as to interact with each other and individuals from other technology start-ups to create and share ideas.
