Students motivated to be purposeful and determined

The Head of Pharmacy and Procurement at the Medifem Multi-Specialist Hospital and Fertility Centre, Priscilla Adjorkor Adjei, has encouraged participants of the 2019 edition of the National Science & Maths Quiz to be purposeful and determined, as it leads to great achievements.

She made this known at a Mentorship Session, which was introduced as part of the event, to give students the opportunity to be mentored by renowned personalities in the field of Science and Technology.

The Session, held at the New N Block of the University of Ghana, Legon brings on board, highly profiled individuals from the fields of Science and Technology which aids in enlightening students for career development in areas of the Sciences.

Mrs Adjorkor Adjei expressed interest in females taking up careers in Pharmacy as it opens doors, and cited Delese Mimi Darko, Chief Executive Officer of the Food and Drugs Authority, as an example. She also stated that a career in Pharmacy is a good choice for individuals who cannot deal with blood related issues in the field of Medicine.

She concluded by saying that individuals’ development requires hard work, the ability to choose which way to go, and working hard as if all depends on the individual.

The Mentorship Sessions are scheduled to come off from June 18 – July 8, 2019, and will feature prominent individuals from diverse careers in Science, Engineering and Technology.
