Islamic SHS, Kumasi got seeded for the first time in 2018, but lost the slot to Tepa SHS, debutants at the Quarter Final stage of the National Science & Maths Quiz.
The steady momentum of Tepa SHS School started right from the first round to the end of the contest, when they won with 40 points. Islamic SHS, Kumasi and Awudome SHS were able to garner 22 and 19 points respectively.
All three schools failed to make the first round count, but in the end, it was Tepa SHS that quickly woke up from their slumber to dominate the last three rounds.
Tepa SHS started their NSMQ2019 campaign with an impressive performance at the Prelims, beating Obuasi SHTS and Queen of Peace SHS in a contest that saw all three schools sailing through to the One-Eighth Stage.
