Mfantsipim School, popularly known as Kwabotwe, started their contest with a wrong answer to a bonus question, which attracted a negative point. However, this slow start did not deter them, as they sailed through all five rounds to win the contest without much competition from their opponents – Apam SHS and Eguafo Abrem SHS.

Mfantsipim School bagged three out of the four riddles in the final round of the contest, becoming the first school from the southern sector to win the GOIL Riddle Bonanza, worth a total cash prize of GH¢800.00.
Winning with 53 points, Mfantsipim School, lost the chance of winning the AirtelTigo Highest Scorer of the Day by just a point to Apam SHS [winners of the fourth contest].

They had to start the 2020 edition of the NSMQ from the Regional Qualifiers for the first time, after suffering a heavy defeat at the One-eighth Stage of the 2019 edition of the NSMQ, and their journey so far to the trophy has been a successful one.
