The second contest in the Ashanti Region Preliminary Stage featured Osei Tutu SHS, Effiduase SHS and Jachie Pramso SHS. Osei Tutu SHS, the school named after the renowned ruler of the Ashanti Kingdom made the region proud as they cemented their place in the One-Eighth Stage of the National competition.

Osei Tutu SHS were on top of their game in The Speed Race round as they were the first to ring the bell and answer correctly on almost every instance. They led the round with 32 points. Jachie Pramso SHS still had no points at the end of round two. They changed momentum as they tied with Effiduase SHS in round four with 14 points.
At the end of Contest Two, Osei Tutu progressed to the One-eighth stage with 48 points kicking Jachie Pramso SHS and Effiduase SHS to the curb.
