Anglican SHS, Kumasi snatches last slot in Ashanti Region

This year they came back empowered to prove their mettle.

Anglican SHS, Kumasi snatches last slot in Ashanti Region

The final contest in the NSMQ Ashanti Region Preliminary Stage featured Anglican SHS, Kumasi, Nsutaman SHS and Adu Gyamfi SHS in a battle for the last slot.

Anglican Senior High School, Kumasi (KASS) were kicked out of the NSMQ2109 at the 1/8th stage having secured 51 points, just a point behind Opoku Ware Secondary School. This year they came back empowered to prove their mettle.

In round one, Anglican SHS, Kumasi led with 20 points, Nsutaman Catholic SHS with 11 points and Adu Gyamfi SHS with eight points. They showed off in round two, being the first to ring the bell on almost every instance and answering them correctly too!

In round three, Kumasi Anglican SHS had accrued a massive 51 points compared to Nsutaman Catholic SHS and Adu Gyamfi SHS who had 21 and  17 points respectively.

Anglican SHS, Kumasi maintained their consistency throughout the contest, whipping their competitors in every round.

Kumasi Anglican ended the contest an overwhelming 74 points winning the Airtel-Tigo highest Scorer of the Day worth Ghc1000. This score also makes them the highest scoring team within the region.

Unfortunately, none of the three schools won the Prudential Life NSMQ Star worth GHC 2000 and the GOIL Riddle Bonanza worth GHC800.

With an impressive amount of points at the end of the Day Two, Kumasi Anglican SHS won the Airtel-Tigo Highest Scorer of the Day worth GHS1000.
