Central Region’s Boa Amponsem Senior High School will be making their second appearance at the NSMQ Quarterfinal Stage after a narrow escape from being kicked out of the National Championship at the One-eighth Stage.
They won their contest by one point, after facing tough competition from the only all-female school to qualify from the Bono-Ahafo Zone – Our Lady of Mount Carmel Girls’ SHS.
In Round One, Boa Amponsem Senior High School was at the forefront of the competition and continued to do so till the end of the contest. Round Five was full of heat as Our Lady of Mount Carmel Girls’ Senior High School almost snatched the Quarterfinal slot from Boa Amponsem Senior High School.
Benedict Nana Owusu of Boa Amponsem Senior High School secured a miraculous win for his school by answering the fourth riddle in the last round correctly.

None of the contestants won the Prudential Life NSMQ Star in Problem of the Day. Boa Amponsem SHS and Our Lady of Mercy SHS came close by accruing six points each. The Prudential Life NSMQ Star at the One-eighth Stage is worth a total cash prize of GH₵2400.00
Boa Amponsem Senior High School won the contest with 28 points, while Our Lady of Mount Carmel Girls’ Senior High School followed closely behind with 27 points. Our Lady of Mercy SHS came in third with 17 points.
