OLA SHS, Ho, have made it to the Quarterfinal Stage for the first time in the history of the NSMQ. The team, represented by Winner Evangeline Atiku and Benedicta Ama Amenyo, came up against Chemu SHS and St. Rose’s SHS in the third One-eighth Stage contest of the day, which was held at the R.S. Amegashie Auditorium.
The girls started the race with an unmatched speed that saw them taking an early lead. Even though Chemu SHS tried their best to keep up, the girls were a tad too strong for them.
In the second round, all the three schools trod cautiously to avoid losing accrued points. For this reason, about a quarter of the questions were left unanswered.
All the three schools scored six points each in the Problem of the Day, missing the Prudential Life NSMQ Star award by four points.

OLA SHS, Ho won the contest with 46 points, while Chemu SHS and St Rose’s SHS lost with 37 and 24 points respectively.
