Presbyterian Boys’ Secondary School (1995, 2003, 2006, 2008 & 2009 NSMQ Champions) have started their journey in an attempt at grabbing their sixth NSMQ trophy. This year marks 11 years since they last lifted the trophy in 2009.
Presbyterian Boys’ Secondary School closed the NSMQ 2020 Quarterfinal Stage in a contest against Aggrey Memorial SHS and Sunyani SHS. The five-time NSMQ Champions gave the audience and future contenders a foreshadow of what to expect as they progressed to the Quarterfinals.
They set the tone for the contest in Round One, leading with 23 points. Aggrey Memorial SHS came in second with 14 points, with Sunyani SHS coming in third with 11 points. They raced ahead of their contenders in Round Two’s Speed Race to answer a majority of the questions correctly and ended the round with an impressive 36 points.
Unfortunately, Round Three’s Problem of the Day proved to be a huge challenge for all the three schools as all they all scored zero.
The former champions swept the GOIL Riddle Bonanza award, worth GH₵1,200.00 at the One-eighth Stage, for answering three out of four riddles correctly.
