Adisadel College books a slot at the semifinals

Adisadel College has made another milestone in NSMQ history by brutally defeating a three-time NSMQ champion.

OLA SHS, Ho made their debut NSMQ Quarterfinal appearance in a contest against Adisadel College (2016 NSMQ Champions) and St. Peter’s SHS – (2000, 2005 & 2018 NSMQ Champions). The long-awaited contest was intense from start to finish, with Adisadel College emerging victorious.

The first round of the contest was quite intense, but St. Peter’s appeared the best among the three and ended the round in the lead with 27 points. Adisadel College and OLA SHS, Ho followed with 19 and 10 points respectively.

The ladies from OLA SHS, Ho gave their optimum best, alas, their best was not enough to keep up with the two champions. In the third round, however, the girls topped the group with seven points, while Adisadel College and St. Peter’s SHS scored six points each in the Problem of the Day.

Between St. Peter’s SHS and Adisadel College was a one-point margin till the end of the fourth round, where Adisadel College widened the gap by five points.

Supporters of Adisadel College rejoicing after St. Peter’s SHS answered the last riddle wrongly.

OLA SHS, Ho impressively answered two riddles correctly to earn an additional six points, while Adisadel College picked the last riddle to win the contest.

With an impressive 49 points at the end of the contest, Adisadel College won the AirtelTigo Highest Scorer of the Day award, worth GH₵3000.00

Round One – General questions on chemistry, physics, biology and mathematics

Round Two – Speed Race

St Peter’s School: 28

Adisadel College: 27

OLA SHS, HO: 13

 

Round Three – Problem of the Day

St Peter’s School: 34

OLA SHS, HO: 20

 

Round Four – True or False

Adisadel College: 49

St Peter’s School: 44

OLA SHS, HO: 33

 

Round Five – Riddles

Adisadel College: 49

St Peter’s School: 47
