Primetime Limited, producers of the National Science & Maths Quiz (NSMQ), is calling for entries for participation in the 2021 edition of the Sci-Tech Fair, which is slated for June 29 & 30, 2021 in Accra.
The Sci-Tech Fair, previously one of the satellite events of the NSMQ, would be held separately in 2021 as one of two events under a month-long event dubbed the STEM Festival. The Fair would be held together with the Mentorship Sessions, also previously a satellite event of the NSMQ.

The Sci-Tech Fair is a platform that provides an opportunity for students, both in the basic and second-cycle institutions, as well as Tech Start-ups, to apply their creativity, knowledge and understanding of concepts studied in the classroom in producing solutions that could help solve problems in Ghana.
The Fair started off in 2017 as an exhibition-only event, where over a hundred students and Tech Start-ups in Ghana have had the opportunity to display their ingenious innovations. The 2021 edition of the Sci-Tech Fair is seeing a new addition – the Sci-Tech Innovation Challenge – to make the two-day event more challenging and give the students extra mileage to explore their creativity and challenge themselves in the practical aspect of science and technology.

The Challenge would be a competition among ten Senior High Schools in Ghana, where each school would be required to develop an innovative project during the two-day event on the theme, “Fighting COVID-19 with Innovative Tech Solutions.”
In addition to the Challenge, there would be an exhibition, open to ten (10) participants, that comprise Senior High Schools, basic schools and tech-start-ups.
Participation in both the exhibition and the Challenge is merit-based, and applicants are required to submit proposals of projects they intend to enter in the Fair here
