St. Francis Xavier Junior Seminary, Bolgatanga SHS, Wa SHS, Kanton SHS and the Notre Dame Seminary SHS are some winners of the Prudential Life NSMQ Star Prize in the ongoing National Science & Maths Quiz competition.
Others are Holy Trinity Cathedral SHS, Odorgonno SHS, Takoradi SHS, Archbishop Porter Girls’ SHS and Sefwi Bekwai SHS.
Holy Trinity Cathedral SHS were the first school to win the Prudential Life NSMQ Star in the 2021 National Championship
Recipients of this award have a take-home of 2000 Ghana Cedis at the Preliminary stage of the competition and reviewed upwards as the competition progresses. The award is presented to schools with the highest score for the Problem of the Day in Round 3 of a contest.
In an instance where two schools score equals marks, both are presented with the awards as experienced in the Western Zone contest which featured Takoradi SHS, Archbishop Porter Girls SHS and Bompeh SHTS.
The problem of the day saw both Takoradi SHS and Archbishop Porter Girls SHS winning the Prudential Life NSMQ star award as they both scored 10points.
