NSMQ2021: BIHECO triumphs over Nkwanta SHS, Abor SHS in 1st Volta-Oti Prelims

Bishop Herman College is the first school from the Volta-Oti Zone to join NSMQ 2020 seeded Keta SHTS and OLA Girls' SHS, Ho in the One-eighth Stage.

The first Volta-Oti Zone contest in the ongoing National Science & Maths Quiz 2021 Championship has ended with Bishop Herman College (BIHECO) emerging winners over Nkwanta SHS and Abor SHS.

What this means is that BIHECO has qualified for the next stage of the competition. The all-boys Catholic School located at Kpando in the Volta Region took a lead in the first round of the contest and maintained the same through to the fifth round.



Here is a breakdown of the scores

Round One – General questions on Chemistry, physics, biology and mathematics
Bishop Herman College: 12pts
Nkwanta SHS: 07pts
Abor SHS: 06pts

Round Two – The Speed race
Bishop Herman College: 16pts
Nkwanta SHS: 12pts
Abor SHS: 05pts


Round Three – Problem of the Day
Bishop Herman College: 16pts
Nkwanta SHS: 12pts
Abor SHS: 05pts

Round Four – True or False
Bishop Herman College: 28pts
Nkwanta SHS: 20pts
Abor SHS: 18pts

Round Five – Riddles
Bishop Herman College: 37pts
Abor SHS: 21pts
Nkwanta SHS: 20pts
