It was a tough contest between Mfantsipim School and Ghana National College, as both schools fought tooth-and-nail to emerge tops. This saw the contest ending in a tie between Mfantsipim School and Ghana National College; 38 points each.
It took a second tiebreaker question to determine the winner; Ghana National College, sending Mfantsipim School back to the Regionals. This makes it the third consecutive time Mfantsipim School has failed to make it to the Quarterfinal stage of the competition.
