NSMQ2021: Presec prevails over Ghana SHS, St. Mary’s Boys for quarters

The reigning champions grabbed a whopping 71 points at the end of the five rounds of the contest.

Defending Champions of the National Science & Maths  Quiz, Presbyterian Boys’ Secondary School, have demonstrated their supremacy by prevailing over their opponents, Ghana SHS, Tamale and St. Mary’s Boys’ SHS in the One-eighth Stage of the competition.



Their closest contender, St. Mary’s Boys’ SHS had 27 points, with Ghana SHS gathering 26 points. This is by far, the highest score recorded at this stage of the competition.

Here is a breakdown of the scores:

Round One – General questions on Chemistry, physics, biology and mathematics
PRESEC, Legon: 23pts
Ghana SHS, Tamale: 15pts
St. Mary’s Boys’ SHS: 8pts

Round Two – The Speed race
PRESEC, Legon: 48pts
Ghana SHS, Tamale: 15pts
St. Mary’s Boys’ SHS: 8pts

Round Three – Problem of the Day
PRESEC, Legon: 6/10
Ghana SHS, Tamale: 4/10
St. Mary’s Boys’ SHS: 3/10
 
Round Four – True or False
PRESEC, Legon: 64pts
Ghana SHS, Tamale: 26pts
St. Mary’s Boys’ SHS: 21pts

Round Five – Riddles
PRESEC, Legon: 71pts
St. Mary’s Boys’ SHS: 27pts
Ghana SHS, Tamale: 26pts
