The second contest on the second day of the Preliminary Stage at the KNUST SHS Auditorium, started on an interesting note. At the end of the first round, there was a one-point difference between Anlo SHS and St. Mary’s SHS, however the all-girls Accra-based school held to their hopes of winning. Anlo SHS did not relent and brought the speed in round two, widening their lead by 13 points. All three schools performed impressively in Round 3 with Anlo SHS and St. Mary’s SHS scoring a perfect 10/10 in the Problem of the Day. Both schools earned Prudential Life NSMQ Star cash prize worth GHC2000 each.

At the end of the contest, Anlo SHS triumphed with a score of 46 points, whiles St. Mary’s SHS managed an impressive score of 42 points with Akwamuman SHS lingering behind with 31 points. Even though St. Mary’s SHS lost to Anlo SHS, their final scores could still be sufficient enough to afford them a slot as one of the 15 Top Runners-up.
