Coming into the One-Eight Stage with an impressive performance at the Prelims, the contestants of Osei Kyeretwie Senior High School (OKESS) have intensified their ‘fireworks’. The more expectant Yaa Asantewaa Girls’ SHS were no match for them throughout the contest.
They took a protracted lead from Round One (1), garnering thirteen (13) points past Bolgatanga SHS and Yaa Asantewaa Girls’ SHS who scored six (6) points and three (3) points respectively.
OKESS intensified their lead in Round Two (2) with a twenty (20) point lead, whilst Bolgatanga SHS and Yaa Asantewaa Girls’ SHS lagged at a point four (4) point stalemate.
However, Yaa Asantewaa Girls’ SHS had the best clue about the Problem of the Day, outscoring OKESS and Bolgatanga SHS with a four (4) point lead. After substitution in Round Three (3), Yaa Asantewaa Girls’ SHS also came into the limelight with an impressive twenty-one (21) points in Round Four (4), coming within reach of the leadership by OKESS, who had thirty-two (32) points in Round Four (4).
Nonetheless, the strengths of Yaa Asantewaa SHS and Bolgatanga SHS were not enough to quench the firepower of the contestants of Osei Kyeretwie SHS, who are unstoppable at this stage.
