At the beginning of the contest, the Quiz Mistress, Dr Anita Oppong, asked the contestants about their expectations. Krobo Girls’ SHS, who qualified as a top runner-up, expressed their gratitude: “We’re grateful to God for bringing us back. The scene between David and Goliath will repeat itself today.”

St. Peter’s SHS responded confidently: “Today, God is going to honour the fruit of our labour.” Anglican SHS, a seeded school, simply stated: “Expect nothing but the best.”

Round One saw a strong start from St. Peter’s SHS, who answered four questions correctly and added three bonus points, putting them in the lead with 15 points. Krobo Girls’ SHS followed closely with 11 points, while Anglican SHS secured nine points.

Krobo Girls’ light couldn't shine to the end

In Round Two, the 'Prudential Life Insurance Speed Race', Krobo Girls’ SHS surged ahead, momentarily overtaking St. Peter’s with 13 points. However, St. Peter’s struggled to maintain momentum due to incorrect answers, dropping their score to 13 points, while Anglican SHS trailed behind with eight points.

During the 'Problem of the Day round', St. Peter’s SHS made a strong start, applying the correct formula and providing the right answer for the first question. However, they faltered on the third question, ending the round with six points. Anglican SHS partially solved the problem, earning four points, while Krobo Girls’ SHS struggled, managing only one point due to an incorrect formula.

By the end of the 'Jupay Money Transfer True / False round', St. Peter’s SHS had increased their score, with Anglican SHS reaching 13 points, and Krobo Girls’ SHS accumulating seven points. At this stage, the competition remained intense, with all three schools still in contention for the win.

In the final round, the ‘GOIL Riddle Bonanza’, St. Peter’s SHS sealed their victory by answering two riddles correctly, finishing with 35 points. Anglican SHS answered one riddle, ending with 28 points, which resulted in the loss of their seeded position. Krobo Girls’ SHS earned one point in the final round, earning a total of 26 points.
