The much-anticipated National Championship of the National Science & Maths Quiz (NSMQ) 2024 is officially underway with the arrival of the first participating school, WA Senior High School, at the UCC Campus in Cape Coast. WA SHS’s early arrival has set the pace for what promises to be an intense and thrilling competition, with more schools continuing to arrive.

In an exclusive interview with the school’s coordinators, they expressed their resolve to make a lasting impact in this year’s competition. Following their elimination at the Preliminary Stage in last year’s championship, WA SHS has returned with heightened zeal and determination to advance further this time around. “We have been working tirelessly and are determined to at least make it to the Quarter-finals,” one of the coordinators noted. This year, their aim is clear: to progress to the Quarter-finals and beyond.
Their confidence reflects the hard work and preparation put in by both the students and the teachers, as they aim to leave a lasting impression on the prestigious quiz. The team believes that overcoming last year’s setback has only made them stronger, and they are ready to face the competition head-on.
As WA SHS set their sights on making a deep run at the National Championship, the atmosphere on UCC Campus promises to heat up as more schools arrive to vie for the ultimate prize.
