Keta SHTS has qualified for the Semi-final Stage in the ongoing National Science & Maths Quiz competition. Although St. Louis SHS could not win the ultimate, the girls from Kumasi appeared excited about their achievement.
The journey so far
It was a ‘cool chop’ for Keta SHTS in their contest with Fomena T.I. AMASS and Adventist SHS, Bantama at the One-eighth Stage of the Championship. Keta SHTS successfully beat the two schools with 53 points at the end of the contest, to qualify to the Quarterfinal stage of the contest.
St. Louis SHS earned a slot at the One-eighth Stage of this year's National Science & Maths Quiz after beating T. I. AMASS, Kumasi and St. Mary's Girls' SHS, Konongo, in all the five rounds of their Preliminary contest. St. Louis SHS then kicked out St. Hubert Min. Sem. SHS and Ghana Secondary Technical School out of the competition at the knockout stage.
Ghana National College, on the other hand, beat both Mfantsipim School and T.I. AMASS, Kumasi in their One-eighth Stage contest on November 16, 2021. At the end of five rounds, both Mfantsipim and Ghana National College had 38 points each. The two schools were therefore made to answer a tie-breaker question. Ghana National College answered the second question right, giving them three more points.
