NSMQ 2023: Ashaiman SHS Strikes Gold, Securing a Ten-Mark Lead.

Kumapley Auditorium, October 8, 2023.

Starting the first of three daily contests at the Kumapley Auditorium, Ashaiman SHS (Ashaisec) took on rivals Mamfe SHS, Kenyasi, and Wa SHS. The Ashaisec boys replicated their exemplary feat demonstrated at the Regional Qualifiers where they gained the highest points throughout the competition. they won this contest with a resounding 51 points.

Ashaisec students replicated their impressive Regional Qualifiers feat.

The atmosphere was filled with excitement as the Prelims competitions were gradually wrapping up, to give way for the action-packed One-eighth Stage competitions.


Dr Anita Oppong's 'Life.Styled' by GTP

The Quiz Mistress Dr. Anita Oppong honoured the day, clad in her beautiful African print from GTP, 'Life. styled', with beaded accessories to compliment her looks. in her introductory remarks, she spelled out the rules for the competition, took words from the contestants, and began proceeding at exactly 9: 33 a.m.


The Contest Commenced with WA SHS Securing the First Question, but Ashaiman SHS held their lead throughout the contest. A protest arose concerning an alleged undeserved mark awarded to WA SHS, but it was swiftly clarified. In the end, Ashaiman SHS emerged victorious, securing a ten-mark lead over Mamfe Methodist SHS, granting them the desired promotion to the One-eighth stage.


In the end, it was joy like a river for Ashaiman SHS
