Okuapemman School delivered an impressive performance in the Preliminary Stage of the National Championship, overpowering their rivals, St. Thomas Aquinas SHS and Adukrom Presby SHS, with a commanding 48 points.
From the start, Okuapemman School set the tone, taking control of the quiz with sharp, rapid-fire answers that left their competitors struggling to keep up. By the end of the first round, they had built a strong lead with 19 points, leaving St. Thomas Aquinas SHS and Adukrom Presby SHS with 13 and five points, respectively.
In the Round Two, Okuapemman School widened the gap, running with an additional eight points, while both St. Thomas Aquinas SHS and Adukrom Presby SHS fell into the negatives, with each school getting two negatives.
The ‘Problem of the Day Round’ further solidified their lead as they tackled challenging mathematical problems with ease, gaining eight points, followed by St. Thomas Aquinas SHS with eight points and Adukrom Presby SHS with four points.
At the end of the contest, Okuapemman School emerged victorious with an impressive 48 points. Although St. Thomas Aquinas SHS reached the One-eighth Stage in last year’s competition, they fell short this time, finishing with 28 points. Adukrom Presby SHS wrapped up their journey with 17 points, bringing an end to their run in the competition.
