In the 2024 NSMQ Quarter-final at the SGS Auditorium, GSTS and Apam SHS fiercely contested a spot in the Semi-final Stage. Osei Tutu SHS, showing strong preparation, emerged victorious with 46 points, securing their place in the next stage. Apam SHS couldn’t replicate their earlier success from the One-eighth Stage.
Apam SHS set a lively tone in the auditorium with their singing and dancing, bringing a slightly larger crowd than GSTS and Osei Tutu SHS. The other schools also made their voices heard, supported by fans from previous stages. Quiz Mistress Professor Elsie Effah Kaufmann impressed the audience with her composed delivery, introducing the contestants and detailing the prizes.
Apam SHS, buoyed by their earlier success over Adisadel College, matched Osei Tutu SHS in the first round with 18 points each, while GSTS trailed with four points. Osei Tutu then took the lead in the Prudential Life Insurance Speed Race, ending Round Two with 21 points to Apam’s 19 and GSTS’ seven points.
