Private Schools Gear Up for NSMQ National Championship 2024 Showdown!

As the 2024 edition of the National Championship of the NSMQ approaches, the private schools set to participate in this year's competition are poised to surprise their counterparts from the public schools.

Eight private schools are participating in this year's competition with some of them appearing at the National Championship for the first time since its inception. The eight private schools in this year's competition are; Regentropfen SHS (Upper East Region), Hope College (Central Region), St. Andrews SHS (Central Region), Wallahs Academy (Volta Region), Sonrise Christian High School (Volta Region), Bright SHS (Eastern Region), Our Lady of Grace SHS (Ashanti Region) and Ghana-Lebanon Islamic SHS (Greater Accra Region).


This year, the students from the private schools have expressed their readiness to go head-to-head with the public schools, aiming to prove their mettle and advocate for greater participation of private schools in the esteemed NSMQ.

Speaking with some of the private school students upon their arrival at the University of Cape Coast campus, they stated that 2024 is the year for private institutions to make their mark in the history of the NSMQ. With the stage now set, the drama that will unfold at NSMQ 2024 is eagerly anticipated.

We’re here to make history and show everyone what we’re capable of. This is our time, and we’re ready to prove that private schools can compete at the highest level,” said one of the students from Hope College.
