In the 1996 edition of the NSMQ, one of the most captivating contests was the nail-biting Southern Sector Semifinal featuring Mfantsipim School and PRESEC, Legon. After being tied at the end of the third, fourth and fifth rounds, PRESEC-Legon broke the deadlock by answering the sudden-death tie-breaker question to eliminate Mfantsipim School. Despite not claiming the ultimate glory, the 1996 Mfantsipim School team made up of Allen Steele-Dadzie, Reuben Ngissah and Hubert Asior left with their heads held high, after such an impressive display on the National Stage. Nearly thirty years after his time in the NSMQ limelight, Dr. Allen Steele-Dadzie returns as a guest on the #NSMQLiveChat, a live conversation with former contestants of the NSMQ to reminisce and hear more about their lives beyond the quiz. After his time at Mfantsipim School, Dr. Steele-Dadzie trained at the University of Ghana Medical School from 1998 to 2006, and went on to specialise in Family Medicine at the Ghana and West African Colleges of Physicians. Dr. Steele-Dadzie is currently a Senior Specialist in Family Medicine at the Family Medicine/Polyclinic Department Korle Bu Teaching Hospital. He is the Ag. Head of Family Medicine Department at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital, and also serves as the Training Coordinator of Family Medicine Residency Programmes of the West African College of Physicians and Ghana College Of Physicians.
Additionally, Dr. Allen Steele-Dadzie is the Coordinator of National Asthma Guidelines, and a Part-time lecturer at the Accra College of Medicine, Family Health Medical School and at the Dept of Dietetics, College of Health Sciences, University of Ghana Medical School.
