She delved into the critical role of Knowledge Management within organisations. Ms. Gbande drew from her expertise in digital innovation, project management, and science communication to illuminate the ways Knowledge Management drives efficiency and innovation across various industries.

Ms. Gbande’s key emphasised that Knowledge Management isn’t merely about storing information but involves strategically organising and sharing knowledge to foster growth and efficiency.

She stressed the need for individuals and organisations alike to harness available resources and opportunities to stay competitive in today’s fast-evolving world. “Be quick to learn what is possible to learn". She stated.

Highlighting the value of seizing opportunities, Ms. Gbande encouraged her audience to note that a strong Knowledge Management system within organisations not only equips individuals with valuable insights but also streamlines decision-making, ensuring everyone has access to the right information when needed.

"Take advantage of the opportunities around you to build yourself for the world of work. The most important step to doing something is to just start.” Ms. Gbande stated.

With a wealth of experience as a Knowledge Manager, Ms. Gbande is responsible for overseeing and managing digital innovation projects at the Fab City Foundation, an international organisation based in Estonia. Her career has included roles such as organising committee member for Africa Open Science Hardware and Research Lead with Kumasi Hive, where she led the AI for Agriculture and Food Systems hub, an IDRC/SIDA-funded project aiming to drive agricultural innovations across Africa.

Ms. Gbande’s extensive academic and professional achievements reflect her commitment to innovation and impact. Holding a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry, Cell and Molecular Biology from the University of Ghana, she is currently pursuing a Masters in Data Science with the University of East London, UK. Her 2021 publication, “Biotechnology as a Tool: Empowering Women to Lead Change in Africa,” showcases her dedication to advancing gender equity and innovation in STEM.

Additionally, she encouraged students to leverage the internet wisely, using it to search for resources and information that support their personal and professional growth. Through these practices, she believes young minds can make significant strides in strategic management and contribute meaningfully to their communities.

In her closing statement, Ms. Gbande emphasised the importance of sharing knowledge beyond the classroom, urging students to make a positive impact by helping others access what they have learned.
