Dr Victoria Dovi Akpene Wosornu made her mark on the National Science & Maths Quiz stage as a contestant for Archbishop Porter Girls’ SHS. Partnering with her teammate, Nana Efua Quainua Cudjoe, she faced off against Ghana SHS, Koforidua and Edinaman SHS, securing a spot in the Quarter-final Stage.
However, their NSMQ journey came to an end after a challenging contest against Keta Senior High Technical School and Koforidua Senior High Technical School, narrowly missing out on a place in the Semi-final Stage. But for Victoria, this was only the beginning of a much greater journey.

Today, her name shines not only in the annals of NSMQ history but also in the field of dentistry. Earlier this year, Dr Wosornu graduated with distinction from the University of Ghana Dental School, emerging as one of the top-performing students in her cohort.
"Being part of the momentous, intellectually demanding competition at a young age taught me discipline, critical thinking, resilience and the importance of thorough preparation.
Even though, my school didn't win, the early exposure to academic rigor built a strong foundation that followed me into university. The experience had a lasting impact on my life, teaching me that it's not always about winning, it's about growth, pushing my limits and realising what I am capable of." Dr Victoria Dovi Akpene Wosornu stated in an exclusive interview.
Victoria's academic achievements are nothing short of outstanding. She was honoured with six prestigious awards, a testament to her dedication, precision, and excellence in the field of dental surgery:

University of Ghana Dental School Prize – Best Student in the Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) Final Part III
Dr Christian Botchway Prize – Best Student in Oral Biology
Dr Barimah S. Adjei Prize – Best Student in Local Anaesthesia
Life Healthcare Center Prize – Best Final Year Dental Student
Stephen Tettey Glover Prize – Best Student in Removable Prosthodontics
Dr Nana Kwame Asante-Appiah Prize – Best Student in Operative Technique
We celebrate Dr Victoria Wosornu not only as a proud alumna of the NSMQ but as a brilliant example of what it means to win in life.
We are proud of you, Dr Wosornu!
