Wesley Girls’ High School nearly saw their chance of qualifying for the Quarter-finals slip away after facing stiff competition from Amaniampong SHS. The girls finished the contest with 47 points, closely followed by Amaniampong SHS with 44, while Ashaiman SHS trailed behind with 22.
Alumni and current students of Wesley Girls’ High School filled the auditorium in substantial numbers to lend their support. Some male supporters were also present to encourage the participants. Prior to the commencement of the contest, a student from Wesley Girls’ led her peers in a spirited 'jama' session to motivate their contestants for the impending challenge.
At the conclusion of the first round, Wesley Girls' High School emerged as the frontrunner among the three competing schools. However, multiple protests were raised by all three institutions, leading to a delay in the announcement of the results.
The Quiz Mistress, Dr Mrs Gladys Odey Schwinger, was compelled to defer the announcement until after the subsequent round. Ultimately, the results were disclosed after consultation with the quiz’s official consultants.
In response to the protests, a biology question from the first round had to be substituted in order to resolve the matter amicably.

The Prudential Life Insurance Speed Race, as usual, proved to be a challenging round for all three schools.
In the third round, the 'Problem of the Day', Amaniampong SHS scored four marks for their solution, Wesley Girls’ High School earned two, and Ashaiman SHS managed just one point.
During the Jupay Money Transfer True/False round, all the competing schools put in their best effort. However, Wesley Girls’ High School and Amaniampong SHS each lost only one point, while Ashaiman SHS lost two, further lowering their chances of winning the contest.
When the results at the end of the fourth round were announced, Amaniampong SHS was leading by eight points over Wesley Girls' High School.
The final round saw a dramatic turnaround, as Wesley Girls’ High School capitalised on Amaniampong SHS’s failure to answer the riddles correctly. This round ended in a tie, leading to a tiebreaker to determine the winner of the contest.
Amaniampong SHS and Wesley Girls' High School were unable to provide an accurate response to the first tiebreaker question, hence requiring a second one. Amaniampong SHS gave a wrong answer, which gave Wesley Girls' High School the chance to give the proper answer. Wesley Girls' SHS booked a ticket to the Quarter-final Stage after the epic win.
